Damovo UK business update

At this point in the calendar we are approaching the middle of Damovo’s financial year and we thought it appropriate to provide an update on our view of the market and in turn, how we are seeing business develop. Firstly we’re very pleased to be able to report that Damovo UK is very much on track to achieve its target of doubling turnover to £100m over three years with continued growth beyond. We have seen our quarter one 2009 orders increase by 187 per cent over the same period in 2008. This has in a very large part been achieved by our being able to deliver solutions that simultaneously provide significant cost savings whilst improving process and workforce efficiencies.

Against the backdrop of extremely demanding financial constraints within our client base we have seen increased demand for turnkey solutions encompassing - networks, connectivity, IP Telephony and Unified Communications. These solutions have dramatically reduced those clients’ costs in terms of service charges, power and management overheads whilst at the same time enabling clients to reap the business benefits of flexible working brought about through truly Unified Communications including presence and collaborative services.

We have superb operational capabilities complemented by excellent relationships with the leading suppliers in the IT and Communications industry. In this issue we have announced two new product areas which we believe will be of great interest to many organisations. Firstly Aastra’s A5000 SIP based IP-PBX which has already chalked up a number of hugely impressive sales in Europe, delivering a highly resilient platform ideally suited to large geographically disperse organisations. Secondly, we have a world leading solution in the field of fixed and mobile convergence. This Damovo solution enables clients to bring all of their mobile telephones and smart devices (such as BlackBerrys) under the umbrella of their corporate PBX. Irrespective of network operator, effectively every mobile telephone becomes an extension of the PBX with all calls to and from the mobile device being routed via the PBX. This ensures not only the most cost effective call set ups but common functionality, billing, reporting and services such as voicemail and call recording. Furthermore the solution allows for the seamless roaming between GSM and WiFi networks ensuring that at every opportunity traffic is routed via what is often ‘free’ bandwidth.

So in summary, we are delighted to be able to report that Damovo as a company is performing very strongly, but perhaps more importantly that we have the solutions and services that are enabling our clients to succeed in these incredibly challenging times.
