Damovo UK Performance 2007 – Future 2008
Financial Performance
At a Group level Damovo successfully completed its financial restructuring which effectively saw the Company’s debt exchanged for equity and at the same time heralded the arrival of a new Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer with the appointment of Mike Parton and Salim Alam respectively to these positions. The Group is now very well positioned both financially and structurally to achieve strong and sustained growth.
At a local level, the UK has become a standard setter in terms of its business performance and longer term strategic development. Damovo UK's profitability and therefore its stability remains strong - with credit ratings to match (Dun and Bradstreet A2 and creditsafe 97%). As the business represents a very safe choice for clients seeking long-term relationships.
We would like to thank all those clients whose contracts have fallen due for review in the past year and who have continued to select Damovo as their supplier of choice. We are also delighted to welcome our new clients, many of which have increasingly encompassed advanced services and unified communications technologies in their procurement processes.
Portfolio
One of the most exciting shifts this year has been within our portfolio area. The increasingly critical role of ICT with the convergence and integration of sophisticated technologies at the desktop, application and network level has allowed Damovo to really demonstrate where we stand out from the crowd – in delivering solutions and services that address business and personal efficiency.
We are increasingly delivering assignments encompassing unified communications, including presence and collaborative technology across fixed and mobile estates. The integration of these new tools and applications enable very efficient working and information sharing, bringing with them a multitude of benefits to an organisation.
With convergence continuing to drive the integration of once stand-alone services, we also started to see the increasing demand for a smarter supplier model with the emphasis on the need for end-to-end service support. Our new ICT Services portfolio has been designed specifically to address this need.
Technology Partners
We continue to maintain the highest levels of accreditations with industry and technology leaders such as Ericsson, Cisco Systems, Microsoft and Mitel, to name a few. We have also been accredited on the Cisco Public Sector Partner Program in our chosen key sectors and thus again underscoring our commitment and understanding of our Public Sector clients’ unique environment.
Our specialist services partners have also increased as part of our service evolution with companies such as Nimbus and Abrient augmenting our technology partners in the areas of Service Level Management tools and network services provision and reporting tools.
People / our environment
Throughout 2007, we have worked intensively to recruit new staff members primarily in the client facing areas of Sales and Operations. For example, our account management function has doubled in size, including the building of a strong office based sales team to further support existing clients and the recruitment of additional account management with specific sector knowledge.
As a member of the business community, with a multitude of stakeholders, Damovo recognise that our day-to-day business activities affect many different people and have a wider impact on the environment. We believe that we have, and always will, act with a high degree of regard for our Corporate Social Responsibilities. This year as a company we have instigated a number of programmes that further support this mantra.
Operations
As technologies continually evolve and services converge so too do the demands and opportunities placed upon Damovo’s delivery organisation. We’ve invested heavily in enhancing both our technical and process based skills this year, with significant emphasis on the employment of ITIL based processes and practice. The way we interact with clients through our established model of Consultancy, Design, Project Management, Staging, Implementation, Systems Integration, Post-Implementation Lifecycle Support, Review and Realignment has itself been revised to take into account the increasingly greater emphasis on services led business.
Accepting that even the best designed solutions require ongoing support our Technical Services organisation continues to achieve high ratings through our Client Satisfaction surveys – in doing so resolving around 30,000 client support requests on time, every time each year.
-
We will continue to invest in our portfolio of solutions and services.
-
We will continue to focus on providing exceptional client service.
-
We will continue to advance our understanding of our clients’ business and to meet their evolving and broadening needs, including newer areas such as CSR.
-
We will continue to focus on key industry associations, memberships and procurement frameworks – ensuring we are easy to do business with.
-
We will continue to develop our culture of continuous learning and deliver excellence in everything we do.
