Wishing you a prosperous year ahead
As Damovo UK’s new Managing Director I would like to wish you all a happy and successful 2009.
I joined Damovo in November 2008. Before joining Damovo I was head of Ericsson’s Enterprise business in Australia and prior to that ran Marconi’s business in the Asia Pacific region. Over the last two months I have had the opportunity to meet many of our customers and I have been excited and encouraged by the feedback I have received. For those of you that I have not met, I trust that we will have that opportunity soon.
As we move into 2009 it is easy for the continuing difficulties in the wider economy to distract each of us from the goals and objectives we have within our own areas of responsibilities. Without doubt the broader economic environment will remain difficult and this will continue to increase the pressure on organisations to operate more efficiently and effectively, not to mention in compliance with good governance and environmental best practices. What is exciting is that the technologies and services which Damovo offer will become ever more important in helping organisations to address these challenges. Specifically we expect to see increased demand for true Unified Communications across the enterprise delivered in an all IP world. Mobile Unified Communications will add even tighter integration into the workplace enabling people to truly operate and communicate wherever and however they choose. These ICT solutions, often delivered as a service, are where Damovo stands out from the crowd and can help determine those organisations that will survive and ultimately thrive in these interesting times.
