Netwise and the re-availability of DNA
Following our previous update on the introduction of Netwise CMG, we would like to advise on the current status of this.
The product previously known as Netwise CMG has now been re-branded as Aastra CMG. Damovo has completed the introduction process for Aastra CMG and is now in a position to offer it to our customers. However, there have been some changes in the availability of the so called “Gap” features (these are features not yet included in CMG but present in the current release of DNA). These features will now not be available until a new release of CMG which is expected towards the end of 2008. Consequently, although Damovo has Business Approval to sell and support CMG we intend to only offer this product on new installations of MX-ONE Telephony Server from V3.2 onward as prior to this release the MX-ONE/CMG product does not have a system management platform (DNA Extension Manager has to be supplied to provide this function). We are able to propose the above as New Sales of DNA have now been reinstigated, due in part to requests from Damovo and following the Aastra User Group AGM in May when Aastra senior management acknowledged the concerns of the UK installed base. DNA5.5, both for New and Add-on licences, is now available to order again having been officially phased out in December 2007. This is expected to remain the case until December 2008 for New Sales, however the situation regarding Add-on Sales is yet to be clarified but currently we expect these to be available until mid-2009. DNA is officially supported on MX-ONE Telephony Server V3.1 and will also support V3.2 with the exception of new commands.
