Damovo on top (again!)
Aastra has recently announced a re-energising of their partner programme. This will bring it into line with its worldwide partner accreditation programme. Damovo is pleased to announce that we have been confirmed as a Platinum partner. We are the only organisation to hold this status in the Enterprise market (for products such as MX-ONE™, Solidus eCare™).
Aastra launch MX-ONE V4.1
The latest version of Aastra’s MX-ONE platform has been released recently, V4.1 includes support for some new Aastra SIP instruments. It also allows for faster upgrading after V4.1 to other releases, this will provide for smoother upgrades allowing control of when systems are unavailable with ability also to revert to the previous version on command. Mitel launch MCD on VMware
Mitel have recently announced the ability to run their Mitel Communications Director (MCD) on a VMware platform. This allows customers who are using virtualisation to run the MCD within that environment reducing server costs and providing more resilient options. Damovo is currently in the process of obtaining the required certification and skills to be able to deploy MCD in this scenario. More news to follow on this subject, look out for updates in future Interpreters.
Aastra 6721ip and 6725ip phones
Aastra have recently launched the new Aastra 6721ip and 6725ip phones, these phones tightly integrate with Microsoft Communications Server ‘14’ and offer user friendly access to its features, making them powerful Unified Communications (UC) devices. These phones can operate independently from a PC so can be easily and widely deployed. The Aastra 6725ip offers the additional benefits of PC connection via USB cable for a tight integration with Microsoft Communications Server ‘14’: click-to-dial is enriched with presence status ensuring a more efficient Call Management for business users and team collaboration.
NICE Voice Recorder Version 8.9
Critical dates have been published about NICE voice recorder Version 8.9:
- Version 8.9 reaches its end of expansion on 31st July 2010, this means existing 8.9 systems can no longer be upgraded
- Version 8.9 will reach end of development on 31st July 2011, after which no active bug fixes or changes will be available
- Version 8.9 will be supported passively until 31st July 2014, after which NICE will cease support
