Damovo Seminar 2008, London, 4th November
Our exclusive event took place in London on the 4th of November at The Rejuvenation Centre. This event was an unmissable opportunity to learn more about the role of evolving role of ICT.
The agenda included presentations across the ICT technology, services, business and social spectrum giving delegates the knowledge to take advantage of the opportunities the ever-changing ICT landscape provides. In our ‘Knowledge Zone’ delegates had the opportunity to hear about the business benefits of mobile and flexible working, Business Continuity and support services amongst others. In separate spaces around the Centre, Technology Zones demonstrated elements of these in action. Aastra (formerly Ericsson Enterprise) was also showcasing products at this event.

Socitm Annual Conference, Newport, Wales 12-14th October 2008
The Society of Information and Technology Management is the professional association for ICT managers working in and for the public sector and their annual conference is being held in Newport this year. With sessions on mobility, security, business continuity, e-democracy, customer access and the 'webification of our ICT world' - it is a packed agenda. Other key themes covered in the programme are Green IT, innovation, virtual worlds and the workplace, lean thinking and the design and delivery of citizen-centric public services. GC 2008expo and Smart Healthcare 2008expo, London 10-11th June 2008
GC 2008expo is the home of the public sector ICT community. It's the most popular civil public sector IT event in the UK, attended by nearly 5,000 public servants, who go to see the very latest technologies in action and to discover the solutions to the challenges they face. The event was co-located with the Smart Healthcare 2008expo and Procurement Solutions. Damovo exhibited this year on Stand 440 where deletages met our team of public sector and technology specialists.

Networkshop 36 Conference, Glasgow 8-10th April 2008
Networkshop 36 is an annual event organised by JANET(UK) and hosted by a Higher Education Institution, this year the University of Strathclyde. Aimed at network managers and technical staff from the JANET community, the conference provided a forum for discussion on the latest network technologies bringing together expertise from all the fields of networking. Damovo was exhibiting on 8th and 9th April and in addition our technology specialist presented on "The Value of Unified Communications" demonstrating the increasingly tangible value that can be derived from the development of these tools. UCISA Conference, Glasgow 12-14th March 2008
The UCISA (University Colleges and Information Systems Association) 2008 Management Conference was held in Glasgow this year at the SECC, posing the question, “Is IT good for us?”. An impressive array of experts populated the key themes of IT in health, national security, community and sociality in the age of the internet. The Conference included a strong social programme held at the stunning Kelvingrove Museum. Adrian Webster, one of the most popular motivational speakers in the UK today, gave an uplifting end to the event inspiring success. The Association of University Administrators (AUA) Annual Telecoms Conference, University of Leicester 8-10th January 2008
Damovo exhibited at this event on the 8th and 9th January. In its 21st year, the 2008 AUA Telecoms Conference and Exhibition featured key industry speakers in a stimulating three-day event. This year's programme addressed a wide range of management issues as well as recent technological developments. The presenters focused on case studies in the education environment showing applications of telecoms technology and how to manage it. There were plenary speakers and break-out sessions so that delegates could share their experiences.
This event greatly facilitated discussion of the challenges and new technologies within education and proved an invaluable networking opportunity for all those who attended. For more information on the event please click here.
