Executive Briefing - Through Discovery Enhance Your Business, London, 7th December 2011

ICT Executive Briefing, London, 3rd November 2011

Held at Tower 42, with its panoramic views of London, this exclusive event was a combination of open forum discussions and lively, thought-provoking presentations exploring the ICT challenges facing the Commercial Sector. We covered issues including 'everywhere computing', optimising your infrastructure and discussed whether Gartner's 'Top CIO Issues' truly reflect your reality. The event provided delegates with the opportunity to network with peers and speak with our technology specialists. Legal IT Forum, London, 12th-14th October 2011

The Legal IT Forum took place this year at Hanbury Manor, Ware. This was a strategy and networking event for CIOs and IT Directors from the UK100 and leading international law firms, which Damovo was pleased to attend as an event sponsor. The theme for this year's programme took the form of a question: "With a Greenfield site what IT solutions would you implement for PMS, DMS, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, PCs and more?". This stimulated interesting debate around some perennial challenges such as Consumerisation, Document Management, Collaboration and the Cloud.

Damovo Executive Briefing, Edinburgh, 6th October 2011

Held at The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh, this event allowed delegates the chance to meet with fellow senior ICT peers and discuss the common challenges they face. One of our customers from the University of Sunderland gave a presentation on how they are enjoying the extensive business benefits of the latest technology. There was also the opportunity for delegates to find out more about getting the balance right between strategic and tactical investment.

SOCITM Scotland 2011, Edinburgh, 22nd September 2011

This SOCITM (Society of Information Technology Management) event brought together the ICT community in the Scottish public sector. SOCITM Scotland has actively engaged with John McClelland CBE, the Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Employment and Sustainable Growth, during his review of ICT infrastructure in the public sector in Scotland and has welcomed his findings and recommendations. Damovo, as an exhibitor at this event, was delighted to have the opportunity for some very interesting discussions with both existing and new contacts, to discuss how we can help organisations achieve their strategic objectives.

IBDG/Strategy Insights Meeting 2011, London, 12th & 13th September 2011

The Strategy Meeting for IT Directors took place in London and Damovo was delighted to be attending once again. Executive Breakfast Briefing - The Future of Unified Communications, St Paul's Cathedral, London, 30th June 2011

This Executive Briefing, in partnership with Microsoft, combined live demonstrations with real life examples and stimulating presentations. Topics included how to make the most of mobility and UC technologies, creating the right culture and user experience within a flexible working environment and how to evaluate, short-list and select the right technologies. This was a great opportunity to hear from Tony Cocks, a Microsoft Unified Communications expert, network with ICT peers and speak with our technology specialists. IT Decisions 2011, London, 28th & 29th June 2011

Held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, the show presented an integrated view of all the most important IT trends and new technology innovations currently. With an integral programme of free educational seminars and supplier briefings on the key issues such as Unified Communications & VOIP; Virtualisation, Storage & Datacentre Optimisation; Cloud Computing & Software-as-a-Service (Saas) this was an unmissable event. Damovo exhibited at the event and hosted a roundtable session on the benefits of Unified Communications.

Investigative Interviewing Conference , Buxton, Derbyshire, 28th June 2011

As part of this conference series, sponsored by our partner Business Systems Limited, the event was held at the University of Derby. Current challenges in suspect and witness interviewing was debated by leading experts and the day included a full programme of presentations. Graham Dickinson, Damovo's sector expert and a former Superintendent, presented on the latest digital technology available which was supplemented by live demonstrations of our leading digital recording solution, CODES. Business Transformation in the Legal Sector, St Paul's Cathedral, London, 19th May 2011

The first of our Legal Sector Round Table seminars took place at St Paul's Cathedral. This breakfast meeting, chaired by industry-leading consultants and attended by a number of the most successful law firms in the world, was an intimate forum for peer to peer discussion. We covered the common challenges faced and shared opinions and experiences to determine how best to address the ever-changing business landscape.

Criminal Investigations Conference , Oxfordshire, 18th May 2011

This conference was the second of a series of events devoted to Major Crime Investigation. Guest speakers included leading scientists who discussed the management of scenes, forensic experts and the use of technology to present evidence, as well as insights into homicide prevention strategies and the use of analysis data. Damovo showed our leading digital recording solution, CODES, and provided live demonstrations.

Investigative Interviewing Conference , Bishopgarth, West Yorkshire, 6th April 2011

This conference, sponsored by our partner Business Systems Limited, presented best practice for suspect interviews designed for the Police, law enforcement and security agencies. The ACPO lead, Chief Constable Mick Creedon, discussed the current challenges in both suspect and witness interviewing and the event included the latest legislation. Damovo demonstrated our leading digital recording solution, CODES.

UCISA Annual Management Conference, Edinburgh 23rd - 25th March 2011

UCISA (University Colleges and Information Systems Association), the premier IT event for UK universities and colleges, was held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre in March. Damovo exhibited at the event holding live demonstrations of Microsoft Lync. The Conference addressed delegates’ top concerns, provided an opportunity to consult with peers and valued partners and, over three focused days, provided value consultancy alongside the largest supplier exhibition in the Education sector. The programme included presentations including “Making the case for investing in IT” and "New Age CIO View" – a look at the challenging role of the University CIO - and more. We were delighted to hold the first of our 2011 User Group forums for the Education sector this month which featured the exciting developments following the release of Microsoft Lync. Designed for those responsible for ICT within the sector, this session focussed on how others in the Higher and Further Education space use this techology as part of their wider value add to the Faculty and the student learning experience. Major Crime Conference, Eynsham Hall, Oxfordshire, 24th February 2011

This was the first in an exciting series of conferences aimed at promoting best practice in criminal investigation. The event featured practitioners and national policing experts offering their expertise and also provideded a vital forum for debate on how to acheive efficiency savings whilst preserving the quality and integrity of the investigation. The Association of University Administrators (AUA) Telecoms Conference and Exhibition, Manchester, 18th - 20th January 2011

In its 24th year, the 2011 conference and exhibition took place over three days at the Mariott Victoria and Albert Hotel, Manchester. The programme addressed a wide range of sessions including Unified Communications, Green IT, Data Centres, Conferencing and many more.
