Education User Group Forum
In October we held the latest of our Education User Group events in London, specially designed for our Higher and Further Education clients. The day was hosted by Nichola Thurston-Smith, our Education sector expert and Account Director.
The popular forum allows clients to share their experiences, expectations and aspirations with peers from other institutions who they may not normally meet, without enduring sales presentations! It also provides an opportunity for Damovo to better understand the issues faced by our clients and also provide generic industry updates and information on areas of interest.
The event usually consists of a presentation and workshop type discussion on a specific topic, decided by current education trends, technology advancements and most importantly, our clients.
This time the topics covered were:
- Enhancing the Student Experience at Bournemouth University presented by Mark Flexman, Head of IT Infrastructure
- Mobile Working - An Integrated Environment presented by Kevin Little, Damovo Professional Services Consultant
We always aim to keep this group to a maximum of twenty clients, this works well in enabling the group time to really discuss and debate relevant topics freely.
Comments range from:-
“More intimate! Better opportunity for networking”.
“More personal, found this better than large events”.
“Size and mix of people was excellent”.
“Far more relevant - people experience the same problems”
“The banoffee pie was excellent!!!”
Damovo will continue to support the Education User Group, so if you would like your name added to the mailing list and/or if you are interested in other Damovo User Groups for other sectors such as Health and Local Government, please contact talktous@damovo.com with your details.
Thank you to all of you who have forwarded suggestions for subsequent instalments of Interpreter, these have been duly noted. Please keep up the suggestions and feedback to talktous@damovo.com.
